Celebrating Diversity Through Dance

Girls from Dandelion Dance™ and Ottawa West came together over 5 Saturdays to explore what it means to be a girl in 2017 through dance, theatre, and visual arts. The project Celebrating Canada Through Diversity and Dance is part of AOE Arts Council’s NEIGHBOURHOOD ARTS 150.

Feedback included:

“I think it’s wonderful to see other people doing dance, something that I love so much! I loved how most of the participants are brand new to dance and yet very brave to try something so different!”
Maya – from the Dandelion Dance Performance Company

“I love everything about the workshops. Everyone is very friendly and supportive … I never thought I would dance, but now here I am! The environment of the workshops is really friendly and open-minded. I enjoy being part of it.”
– Maha Ali, A fifteen year old participant

Join the girls on Saturday, May 13th, and celebrate the beautiful performance that they have created together in only 5 weeks! Performances at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM at the Bayshore Mall
