Dandelion Dance Founder, Hannah Beach, is the recipient of the 2017 Moonbeam Children’s book award (Gold) for books with music/theatrical.
The Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards are intended to bring increased recognition to exemplary children’s books and their creators, and to celebrate children’s books and life-long reading.
Many of their award-winning books encourage children to be generous and compassionate, to stand up to bullies, and to believe in fulfilling their dreams.
According to Moonbeam – Creating books that inspire our children to read, to learn, and to dream is an extremely important task, and these awards were conceived to reward those efforts. Each year’s entries are judged by expert panels of youth educators, librarians, booksellers, and book reviewers of all ages. Award recipients receive gold, silver and bronze medals.
This year there were award recipients from the U.S., the District of Columbia, Canada, Spain, Australia, India, Germany, the United Kingdom and South Korea.
Hannah Beach won the Gold Award for the 6 books she authored that use movement to support children in expressing themselves and exploring their world. (Published by Rubicon Publishing)
These books have been a huge success in the educational community and adopted by multiple school boards across Canada. Due to popularity, they were released as French editions in Fall 2017 and those too, have now been adopted by school boards across Canada.
